Realm of Embers

Realm of Embers is a turn-based fantasy dungeon crawler by GilianoGVK, published on itch.io on 2026-10-09. It runs in the browser on phone, tablet or PC. You choose one of 6 classes and 18 specializations, each built around a tank, damage or healer role with its own mechanic, then take your hero through five dungeons on Normal, Hard and Nightmare difficulty before moving on to Ember Ascension. Alongside the dungeons there's the Endless Tower, where every floor brings a new boss and element, plus a loot system with sets, gems, a Forge and very rare Relics. The developer states the game is not pay-to-win.

Press the play button above, then "Run game" on itch.io. The developer's page doesn't list controls, so follow the game's start screen; since it is made for phones and tablets as well as PCs, it works with touch as well as a mouse. Fights are turn-based: watch what the enemy is preparing, use Brace before a heavy hit, and drink a potion at the right moment.

On itch.io you play as a guest: one hero, capped at level 30, saved in your browser. The developer hosts the full version on their own website, along with Discord login, a leaderboard and patch notes. If you clear your browser data, a guest save is gone, so keep that in mind before committing many hours.

Choose a spec that matches how you like to fight – tanks survive mistakes, healers sustain, damage specs end fights faster. Reading the enemy's next move matters more than raw stats, so save Brace and potions for big attacks. Beat each dungeon on Normal before trying Hard or Nightmare, and use the Forge and gems to improve gear you already like instead of chasing every drop.
